Faced difficulties and dangers with remarkable courage

I’m challenged today that in spite of all the hype that some portray about the persecuted Church, that we must remember that there are men, women and children who have accepted hardships as part of the identification with the people to whom the Lord had sent them.

To the [a]weak I became [as the] weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means [in any and every way] save some [by leading them to faith in Jesus Christ]. – 1 Corinthians 9:22

Even though this was spelled out with practicality almost without parallel in the history of missions, today we see it being spelled out not by those being sent but by national leaders of ministry touching thousands of lives while the early missionaries touched hundreds.

Praying for the national leaders and workers with Partners International today – they indeed are a Church that has displayed courage in the face of danger.  Thank you for being my inspiration.
