Cross: Propitiation

He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world. – 1 John 2:2

Today we’re surprised to read descriptions of God like the following —

But you are pure and cannot stand the sight of evil.
Will you wink at their treachery?
Should you be silent while the wicked
swallow up people more righteous than they?

Habakkuk 1:13

We have lost the abhorrence for sin found throughout the Bible.
