The bottom-line theology of salvation of the pluralist and inclusivist positions asks, “Given that humanity is basically good, and God is a God of love, how is it possible that God could condemn so much of humanity to eternal punishment?” The evangelists and exclusivists ask the question differently: “Given the fact of the fall, and that ‘all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God’, how is it possible that so much of humanity can be saved?”
