Half the sentence in Exodus

“This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: How long will you refuse to submit to me? Let my people go, so they can worship me.”  –  Exodus 10:3

The key passage comes right before this chapter in which Moses gives an ultimatum to Pharaoh, with a bold word about His purpose.

Take note that God never said, “Let my people go!”  That’s just half the sentence, without the purpose, which was clearly stated every time Moses declared it,  Take care to hear the entire cry of salvation – “so they can worship me.”

The Exodus Story was about Freedom of Religion, Not Slavery
